Is Data Even Right for You?
If you are on this newsletter, chances are you are already considering or trying to break into data analytics.
And I’m all for seeing you succeed while I help you along the way!
There’s one thing that was always on my mind when I first started out and that’s if I was even making the correct decision by entering data.
After being in the field for over 3 years now, I can confidently say it was the correct decision!
There are 3 areas I needed to consider before going this route though and now that I have a deeper understanding of them, I want to share with you so you can consider them as well.
The 3 areas are:
Salary
Growth
What it’s like to be a Data Analyst
This video covers these areas in great detail. Please show some support by watching and liking it. Then, shoot me a comment on the video, and I’ll answer any questions!
Salary is why we work and it needs to be right for your own situation. It also needs to be right for you future self so as you grow, does your salary still fit your expectations?
Which also leads to growth, we all want to have a fulfilling career and what does that exactly mean in the world of data? It can lead to being a Data Analyst, Data Scientist, Data Engineer, Analytics Engineer, management, etc…
Then lastly, what do analysts even do… This is a tough one because every job will be different but there will definitely be some skills and job duties that will come with majority of jobs.
Mainly being, presenting, working alone without direction, working outside your comfort zone, etc...
Knowing these 3 areas are great things to consider so you don’t end up taking months trying to get a job just to get burnt out in the end.
I’d love to help each one of you and the best way to have me help you specifically, is to be where I will 100% respond, and that’s my YT comment section. I hope to see you there and I look forward to seeing your questions.
